Republic Study Guide-A great resource!

 

Today I would like to highlight a resource we have available to us.  Charles Gutweniger, lovingly called Chuckers by many, has amassed a database of great resources and has been kind enough to share it with all of us.  I have shared a picture of Chuckers being sworn in as the Governor of Oregon by Chief Justice Ray Senkel.  The Study Guide was started long before that date and is a testament to his generous heart for our Republic.

For those that are less computer literate among us I will attempt to guide you through an introduction to this amazing site.  It is an amazing journey that must be taken at your own pace but I can give you a few tips on where to begin. 

When you first arrive at the Republic Study Guide you will see a picture in the center of the page with a menu running down the left margin of the page.  On the menu there is a section titled "Instructions" for those that are not familiar with a database that is written in such a way as to make navigating the site much simpler.  For those who are interested in learning about the Republic there is a section called "Republic Intro" which will get you started on the way to learning about our great Republic.  I think my favorite section of the Study Guide is the "Latest Updates" section where you can find recordings of most all of the conference calls as well as any other items Chuckers has recently added to the site.  I also love the law dictionaries, federalist and anti-federalist papers and commentaries under "Training/Research" as well.  As you start browsing through the different sections you will quickly find there is far more than you can look at in one sitting or even ten for that matter.  You will need to take this journey at your own pace, do some reading, listen to some calls, watch some videos, whatever it is that helps you learn what you need a more thorough understanding of.
